Training for Teams

Team Training

This training equips teams who support whanau working with vulnerable tamariki and rangatahi in care. Grounded in the attachment-based developmental approach of the Neufeld Institute, it looks to play as the best way to set things right when complex behaviours interfere in the caregiver - child relationship. Trainees will gain insight into complex behavioural child and adolescent dynamics and will participate in playful activities that support connection and emotional release for kids in care.

Using Play to Address Troubling Behaviours

Team Leader Training

This intense one day (8 hour) training targets professionals who support teams working with vulnerable tamariki and rangatahi with a history of trauma. It upskills and informs team leaders of the theory underlying the four one day training modules available for teams. It is dense in content, it includes some experiential play sessions and is organised into four modules including:

Anxiety
Counterwill
The Alpha Dynamic
Aggression
